Police have said that a 39-year old woman from Nadur was critically injured after she slipped while stepping onto a pavement.
The accident happened in Triq it-Tigrija in Nadur, at around 10am this morning. First investigations revealed that “the woman slipped while crossing the road,” said Police.
The woman was taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where she was certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Magistrate Dr Brigitte Sultana is leading an inquiry and has appointed experts.
Police investigations are ongoing.
