Two patients have died while being positive with Covid-19, the Health Ministry said. This makes the number of lives lost to the virus now at 222.
A 73-year old woman who tested positive for the virus on Christmas Day, passed away earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.
The second person was an 81-year old woman who tested positive on the 2nd of January and passed away this morning at Mater Dei Hospital.
The Ministry of Health, while offering its condolences to the relatives of the deceased, called on the public to continue to follow the preventive measures “so that we can protect the most vulnerable in our society” – This includes wearing of masks, social distancing and hand hygiene.
