Four patients have died while being positive with Covid-19, the Health Ministry said. This makes the number of lives lost to the virus now at 226.
A 96-year old woman who tested positive for the virus on the 17th of December, passed away yesterday at the Good Samaritan Long-Term Care Facility.
The second person was a 71-year old woman who tested positive on the 1st of January and passed away yesterday at Mater Dei Hospital.
The third person was an 83-year old man who tested positive on the 26th of December and passed away earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.
The fourth was an 85-year old woman who also tested positive on the 26th of December and passed away earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.
The Ministry of Health, while offering its condolences to the relatives of the deceased, called on the public to continue to follow the preventive measures “so that we can protect the most vulnerable in our society” – This includes wearing of masks, social distancing and hand hygiene.
