Second dose of Covid-19 vaccine being given to elderly in care homes

Administration of the second doses of Covid-19 vaccines was started today for elderly people and frontliners in all residential homes including private ones.
Among the first to receive the second dose of the vaccine today were two residents from a home in Mellieha.
Minister for the Elderly Michael Farrugia, who was present for occasion, was given the first dose of the vaccine.
He said that at the rate the vaccination programme is proceeding “all elderly in residential homes will have been given a second dose by the end of February.”
