Liturgical celebrations for Holy Week with the Bishop of Gozo

The Gozo Diocese has provided details of the liturgical celebrations that will be led by the Bishop of Gozo Anton Teuma on the days of Holy Week, as well as broadcast on television and social media.
Devotional commemoration of Our Lady of Sorrows, Friday, 26th March
7.30pm: Diocesan Via Matris, from Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary
Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord, March 28th
10.00am: Remembrance of the Lord’s Entry into Jerusalem, from the Gozo Cathedral
Maundy Thursday
7.00pm: Solemn Remembrance of the Lord’s Supper, from the Gozo Cathedral
Good Friday, April 2nd
At 3.30pm: Solemn Remembrance of the Passion of the Lord, from the Gozo Cathedral
7.30pm: Diocesan Via Crucis, from the Gozo Cathedral
Easter Saturday, April 3
9.00am: Celebration of the Hour of the Mother, from Ta ‘Pinu Sanctuary
At 8.00pm: The Vigil on the Holy Night of Easter, from the Cathedral
Easter Sunday, April 4th
6.00pm: Pontifical Mass of Easter Day, from the Gozo Cathedral
* On Palm Sunday at 7.00pm, and from Monday to Wednesday of Holy Week at 8.00pm, Bishop Anton Teuma will lead the Lectio Divina on the Story of the Lord’s Passion, at the Pope John Paul II Family Institute, Victoria.
All celebrations will be broadcast on Xejk TV, as well as on the Diocese of Gozo’s YouTube and Facebook media.
