Young Gozitan student Hannah Vella has been selected as a 2021/2022 Global Learning and Observation to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) Student Vlogger.
The GLOBE Program was looking for 12 students worldwide (two from each GLOBE region) to volunteer as GLOBE Student Vloggers. Hannah, together with another student from India, is the youngest vlogger.
Hannah, who attends Gozo College Middle School, will now create 4 vlog-style video content between April 2021 and April 2022 for the GLOBE YouTube channel.
Speaking about her wonderful achievement, Hannah said, “when I was given the news, I was elated! This opportunity will help influence adolescents and children by increasing their awareness to all that surrounds us.”
She stressed that, “we need to appreciate our environment in order to protect it. The vlog will feature various ways on how we can safeguard the environment.”
Hannah asked for everyone to make sure to watch her vlogs, which can be found on the “GLOBE Implementation Office” channel on you tube or by following her on Instagram on https://www.instagram.com/greenerbydminute for more information.
This position was competitive and you can watch Hannah’s video entry below.
Hannah is a student of Ramona Mercieca, who is the GLOBE Deputy Coordinator for Malta.
Ms Mercieca remarked that, “this is another example how our students are distinguishing themselves internationally in STEM initiatives through the GLOBE Program.”
