Happy Parenting – Malta (For Happier Children) is the leading entity that is working on Parental Alienation Awareness across Gozo, Malta and beyond.
Over the last few months the organisation said that is has intensified its campaign, including holding Awareness Events in collaboration with Local Councils.
Happy Parenting – Malta explained that it has been meeting with Mayors and Counsellors across Gozo and Malta, explaining what Parental Alienation is, winning cooperation to create a joint awareness event in a prominent place in their locality, and also to jointly organise a 2 month marathon of short courses on various topics – where positive parenting is promoted.
As part of the campaign it has also been working with stakeholders; raised the issue in Parliament 3 times; met with the Ministers for Justice and Family and the Opposition with proposals to amend Family Law and Court Procedures; affiliated with international entities and collaborated with local NGOs.
It included being a representing member on The Malta Technical Committee on Parental Alienation; supporting victims of parental alienation; facilitating weekly informative support group meetings in the presence of legal and social care professionals; one to one consultation meetings.
“Creating an NGO Song conveying a strong message of hope for alienated children and through our Family Social Club and through frequent appearances in a wide media spectrum we educate the public in general,” it said.
In April 2021, Happy Parenting – Malta (For Happier Children) organised Malta’s First International Seminar on Parental Alienation which, it said, was viewed by thousands across the world.
The organisation went on to say that it will continue with more awareness events and to view some of their events, in both Maltese and English, please click here.
