Following a 2 month absence due to the pandemic restrictions, the Gozo Motocross Association organised the semi-finals of the Gozo Motocross Championship fuelledbyEnemed.

The races got underway at 4pm this afternoon and following health protocols, no spectators were present at the track.

Riders had not only the challenge of the intense heat, but also dust clouds that were thrown up during the exciting racing, as they gave it their all in this last bid to achieve the best position possible.

Here are today’s results:

Class A

1st place – Steve Xuereb

2nd place – Mario Cauchi

Class B

1st place – Jorn Stellini

2nd place – Robert Spiteri

3rd place – William Sant

Class C

1st place – Mark Camilleri

2nd place – Jurgen Attard

3rd place – Steve Cassar

Class D

1st place – Scott Donovan

2nd place – Luke Caruana

Lorenzo Casu awarded trophies to the winners sponsored by Throttle & Gear Co. Meanwhile, current overall Champion Steve Xuereb leads the way in Class A while Jorn Stellini continues to head Class B.

Class C is still indecisive between Jurgen Attard and young Mark Camilleri while Luke Caruana holds fast to his first position in Class D.

The GMChampionship fuelledbyEnemed finals will be held next Sunday, the 20th of June.
