Update – Several Xlendi residents have contacted gozo.news to express their anger and distress at the spate of vandalism to cars and property in the locality and are calling for Police patrols.
They said that on Friday evening several cars had their windows smashed on the top car park – Il Kantra, as well as on the seafront road. Residents said that this also happened last weekend.
Also last night, a front door of an apartment block in Triq il-Qsajjem, was stoned and the thick glass smashed.
Another resident reported that a brick was thrown at a window of one of the apartments inside Kantra Residence on Triq il Kantra.
Those living in the area reported hearing a lot of noise just after midnight and even though the matter was reported to the Police, nothing further has been heard about the perpetrators of the vandalism

So sad, apparently something similar happened in Mellieha on Saturday.
The police were here in Xlendi on Saturday morning when they were informed, but what can they do? There are no fingerprints on rocks.
It is far too dangerous to go down and investigate any noise in the night now, whereby not so long ago one wouldn’t even have thought twice about it!
Gone are the days of ‘safe’ Gozo when you could leave your keys in your car or front door!
Cameras needed everywhere,even at Marsalforn???!!!
