During the last few days, numerous trees and shrubs have been vandalised on Comino, Ambjent Malta said.

Ambjent Malta – which is the Facebook page for the Environment, Climate Change and Planning Ministry in Malta, said that it has planted more than 13,000 trees and shrubs in the last three years as part of the habitat restoration project.

It urged the public to report any vandalism in NATURA2000 sites, and immediately notify ERA – the Environment & Resources Authority

The ERA explained that the works “aim to improve and safeguard these habitats for future generations.”
