Malta International Airshow 2021 will be returning following a three-year absence and is being held between the 25th and 26th of September.

This event will be taking place along the coast of St. Paul’s Bay while the static display will be taking place in Park 4 of Malta International Airport. Eight different countries will be participating in this edition.

Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo and the Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat made the announcement in the presence of the President of the Malta Aviation Association Joe Ciliberti.

Minister Clayton Bartolo said that the entire hospitality sector will benefit from this activity.

“Although these activities greatly help local tourism, I firmly believe that this activity goes beyond that. Undoubtedly it is a positive mark that our country is on the road back to normality,” he said.

The Minister thanked the Malta Tourism Authority for being a catalyst for the “responsible return of activities in accordance with the directives issued by the Superintendence of Public Health.”

Parliamentary Secretary Alex Muscat said that the Agenzija Komunità Malta is investing €50,000 so that the Malta Tourism Authority can assist the Malta Aviation Society in the air show.

The President of the Maltese Aviation Association Joe Ciliberti said that this is an important year for the association as the same society is also celebrating its 25th anniversary.
