Leader of the Nationalist Party Bernard Grech addressed a political activity in the form of a question and answer session organised on Saturday evening in Ghajnsielem, which also started the activities related to the Independence festivities.
Bernard Grech, speaking on the PN’s proposals for Gozo, said that the Nationalist Party “is ready to be the shield for Gozitans.”
He said that in education, health, trade, the environment and against injustice, “we must fulfil your ambitions and continue to urge people to be the Change.”
Answering a question regarding the injustices that have been faced by various local citizens, Bernard Grech stated that he “would not tolerate any similar behaviour, this would include for either Nationalist or Labour supporters.
When asked about connectivity between the islands, Bernard Grech said that the promise of the Nationalist Party is a clear one. “A new government led by him would invest in at least two new ships because the PN believes that Gozitans are not second class citizens.”
He also explained that the Nationalist Party wants investment to be made in the Port of Mgarr, to be enlarged in order not only to help in transport but also in investment and the creation of more jobs.”
Grech stressed that he wants Gozitan workers “to have a guarantee of decent work with an appropriate salary – that a person who wants to continue working in Gozo does not end up begging some Minister, but can grow and expand their career.”
He said that they should not just be employed in the government, jobs should also be created in the public sector.
Speaking about the health sector in Gozo, Bernard Grech stressed that a new Nationalist Government guarantees that those people who need to be given chemotherapy treatment will receive it in Gozo.
On education, Grech said that “our children deserve the best,” and promised investment in this area. He stressed that “Gozo should be a centre of education, that would be the envy of Europe.”
Bringing the activity to a close Bernard Grech paid tribute to former Nationalist Minister Giovanna Debono and her husband Antony, saying that “they too had suffered injustice.”

All Gozitans hear is the same hot air from this political parties. The injustice happens cause even our courts are corrupt all they do is they prolong every case so they make more money. Sad reality that happens everyday in Maltese courts.
