The Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Carmelo Abela, has announced that more than 80% of the electoral measures related to Gozo have been implemented.

According to Minister Abela, 27 measures have been fully implemented, while another 13 measures are in their final phase, meaning that the delivery rate is just over 81%.

Minister Abela mentioned some of the measures implemented in Gozo, including benefits for Gozitan workers, students and other Gozitan citizens, in particular for those that cross between the islands via the fast ferry.

He also referred to the strengthening of digital connectivity through the second fibre-optic link, investment in Gozitan hospitals and healthcare, ”as well as the government’s key promise to create more job opportunities in Gozo for Gozitans.”

Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri mentioned that the ”vast programme of infrastructure projects as well as the investments that are being made, will serve to make the Gozitan economy more resilient, more dynamic and recover faster from the effects of the global pandemic to continue to create new opportunities.”
