Malta’s national Anti-Bullying Week opens today until the 19th of November, with the theme – One Kind Word.

bBrave explained that this year’s theme turns the spotlight on the impact that ”one kind word can have.” The NGO also announced their very first bBrave Ambassador – Leanne Bartolo, who is a fitness professional and wellbeing motivator.

”She drives us to be better and do more every day, and we are convinced that in fronting bBrave she will prove an inspiration to many others,” they said.

Leanne explained that, ”having experienced bullying when I was younger, I had promised myself that one day I would work to ensure that less people experience this pain. Today, I can do this through my collaboration with bBrave.”

bBrave is inviting the Maltese community to join it by spreading ”one kind word, which hopefully leads to another…and another.”

bBrave is a voluntary, independent, and non-governmental organisation, registered with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations, and a ”Core Member of the international Anti-Bullying Alliance.”

It explained that, ”as the first anti-bullying NGO in Malta, thanks to its members and sponsors, it works on educating more about bullying behaviour and its effects. bBrave operates on a fully voluntary basis.”

bBrave also assists individuals suffering from bullying in connecting them with the right support system. www.bbrave.org.mt
