The completion of works have been inaugurated at the main hall of the Nadur Teen and Youth Centre, through an investment of €50,000.

He noted that the hall now has the capacity for more than 150 people, with standards as required in relation to accessibility.

”Funding was provided by the Ministry for Gozo,” said the Minister, who added that he was ”satisfied” with the level of work undertaken and looked forward to more collaboration. ”This investment is also expected to further improve the aspect of religious tourism on the island of Gozo.”

Present were the Director of Tourism and Economic Development within the Ministry for Gozo, Ronald Sultana, who explained that among the works undertaken was the installation of a modern lift, finishings, with furniture and audiovisual equipment also purchased. Apertures and technological equipment have been installed to continue to improve the safety of the premises.”

Architect Edward Scerri who was in charge of the project, explained in more detail the works made. Fr Mark Bonello, who runs the centre, thanked the Ministry for Gozo ”for making this much needed project possible.”
