Four men – 2 aged 66 and another 2 aged, 80 and 96, and 2 women aged 86 and 89 have passed away in the last 24 hours while Covid-19 positive, authorities have said.

There were 107 new Covid-19 cases found overnight and 198 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo down to 1,775.

There are 61 patients requiring treatment in hospital including 4 who are in ITU. There have been 585 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is  337,392.
