Four women have been taken to hospital following an accident between a minivan and a fuel bowser in Victoria, Gozo on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened at around 2:30pm in Republic Street, when a fuel bowser, driven by a 34-year old man from San Lawrenz, was in a collision with the Toyota minivan, being driven by a 23-year old man from Marsacala. Both drivers were unhurt in the accident.
Poice said that consequently, the Toyota crashed into other vehicles which were parked.
The passengers – four English women aged between 53 and 60 years – were taken to Gozo General Hospital and later, one was certified with grievous injuries whilst the others were certified with slight injuries.
Police investigations are still underway.
