A 46-year old man was seriously injured after being involved in a fight in Ghasri, Gozo, on Tuesday.
Police said that at it was informed by the Gozo General Hospital at 10.30pm last night that the man, who is from Ghasri, was being treated for serious injuries.
Preliminary investigations by the Police resulted in information that the man had been involved with two others in a fight at Triq l-Ghammar, Ghasri, at 11.30am the same morning.
The other men, aged 25 and 56, also from Ghasri, were both arrested during the night. They were taken to hospital where they were certified to have suffered slight injuries.
Magistrate Bridgette Sultana is leading an inquiry.
Police investigations are ongoing.
