The National Blood Transfusion Service would like to thank the 40 people who called to donate blood in Gozo last Sunday.

Meanwhile the Service continues to encourage healthy people to please come forward – even during this hot weather – and donate blood for the benefit of the sick and inured whose lives depend on blood transfusions during operations and more at the Gozo General Hospital

The Service said that with this in mind, the next session is on Tuesday, the 12th of July, from 1pm to 5pm at the Xewkija Clinic.

This will be followed by another session on Sunday, the 17th of July, from 8am to 1pm.

“As always, your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated and please encourage others to donate if possible,” the Service said.

The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service

The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.

As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic.
