2022 Malta Pride Week has been launched today and runs until the 11th of September. This year it includes the first ever Pride March to be held in Gozo hosted by LGBTI+ Gozo.

This year’s tagline is #LiveYourTruth.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the 3rd of September, the Gozo Pride March will launch from Qawsalla Hub at 5pm and head towards the Villa Rundle Gardens.

Qawsalla Hub will open on Saturday at 9am where participants can get their slogans and charts ready for the march.

This hub was opened in September last year providing Gozitan members of the LGBTIQ + community with access to various free services, such as counselling, training and social gatherings including a youth club

LGBTI+ Gozo said that “Pride is a safe and brave space where people from all walks of life, gender identity, sexual orientation, gender expression, allies, families, organisations and friends come together at this celebration of diversity and love.”

There will be a DJ Set to entertain everyone there and dance the night away.

The LGBTIQ + Gozo helpline 99356622 is a one-stop-shop with all kinds of support services that are connected to a professional counsellor, who through means testing, refers the individual to the necessary professionals who work with the organisation.

This first ever pride march in Gozo is being held in collaboration with Malta Pride host of Euro Pride 2023, Allied Rainbow Community, the Ministry for Gozo and Parliamentary Secretariat for Reforms and Equality.
