Six new ‘Chief Assistance and Rescue Officers’ have been appointed within the Civil Protection Department, by Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri.
While presenting them with the letter of appointment, Minister Camilleri said that this forms part of the plan for the Department to be continually strengthened to meet the needs of the Maltese and Gozitan people.
Through these appointments, each Civil Protection station around Malta and Gozo will have its own ‘Chief Assistance and Rescue Officer.’
Also present were the Director of Civil Protection, Peter Paul Coleiro together with the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry, Emmanuel Psaila.
