Nadur Local Council has announced that it will be awarding Joseph Said with the Locality Honour – Gieh-in-Nadur 2022. The ceremony will take place in November.

The Council said that the well-deserved tribute is being given in recognition of a “true Naduri who gave so much of his time to what he always believed could better the name of our location.”

“Despite his age, Joseph still strives and organises initiatives for the elderly at Dar Frangisk Grima group,” said the Council.

“Joseph did not mind facing challenges over the years such as those linked to the title of Basilica and the boundaries of Nadur,” it said. “A person who has always been active in various committees and associations and has left his mark.”

The Nadur Local Council thanked and congratulated Joe Said, “for whom Nadur and St. Peter and St. Paul come first!”
