A magnitude 4.6 earthquake just north of Gozo was felt across Gozo and Malta earlier this afternoon, and registered by the Seismic Monitoring and Research Group SMRG – University of Malta.
The tremor was recorded at around 1:40pm local time. Some residents in Victoria, Gozo, said that their was a “roar” and then their homes and ornaments started shuddering quite fiercely as a result of the tremor.
SMRG at UM said that the 4.6 earthquake was captured in real-time as data was being recorded on servers. The earthquake was also recorded on stations in Sicily.

I appreciate that we have sophisticated equipment to scale tremors, but why do I ask we had three different results. We had a report of 4.4 scale then 4.5 and finally 4.6. I guess it doesn’t make much difference, or does it?
