Next week, the Gozo Regional Development Authority will be presenting a webinar focusing on employment and skills in Gozo.
There will be interventions by Prof. Manwel Debono – Lecturer at the University of Malta with particular interest in the labour market developments; Mr. Ivan Ebejer – Economist, consultant, and foresight strategist; and Mr. Melchior Vella – Visiting assistant lecturer at the University of Malta. PhD student in economics at the University of Essex.
The study was carried out by by Mr Ivan Ebejer, economist, consultant and foresight strategist, assisted by Mr Mario Borg and Mr Juergen Attard from the Gozo Regional Development Authority.
The GRDA explained that this analysis provides an in-depth regional assessment of the demand for and supply of employment. The paper outlines the challenges, the strengths, and the opportunities that Gozo could build upon to unlock its growth potential.
“The contents of this discussion paper are presented to foster a wider discussion on this topic and to help formulate research-based policy recommendations,” the Authority said.
The webinar, which will be held in Maltese, is on Wednesday, the 25th of January, starting at 10am.
