The National Blood Transfusion Service has expressed its thanks to the 39 people who called to donate blood last Sunday at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.

Meanwhile, the Service, continues to encourage more Gozitans to please come forward in January and ideally throughout the year, to donate blood for the benefit of the many patients in need who are currently being treated in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta.

The next session will be on Tuesday, the 24th of January from 1pm to 5pm at the Xewkija Clinic. This will be followed by another on Sunday, the 29th of January, from 8am until 1pm.

“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.

The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service

The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.

As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic.
