Students who attend any school in Gozo are invited to enter this year’s Gozo Live, Gozo College Award Writing competition.

This is the 9th year of the competition and for this edition students are asked to write a story, essay, poem or play in English on one of the two following themes: My Ideal School or Laughter.

“Entries should be as creative as possible. We are looking for very original ideas on the themes,” the organisers said.

The closing date is Friday, the 28th of April, but entries can be submitted as soon as they are ready. Each entry should have the full name of the student, the name of the school attended and the age or year of the student.

The organisers said that “generous prizes” will be awarded to the best entries in both the junior and senior categories.

There will also be a prize for the best poem. Poems could be on the themes or on any subject. There will be an additional prize for the best play which must be on one of the themes.
