The National Blood Transfusion Service has expressed its thanks to the 41 people who called to donate blood last Sunday at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.

Meanwhile, the Service, continues to encourage more Gozitans to please come forward to donate blood for the benefit of the many patients in need in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta.

Blood donations of all types are urgently required at this time, however the National Blood Transfusion Service is urging O Positive and A Positive donors in particular to please donate.

The next session will be on Tuesday, the 21st of February, from 1pm until 5pm, at the Xewkija Clinic. This will be followed by another on Sunday, the 26th of February from 1pm until 5pm.

“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.

The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service

The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.

As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic.
