Please support sick patients, blood donations needed

<p> The National Blood Transfusion Service said that blood is precious and giving blood is an essential service, "that cannot be neglected." </p> <p> It is therefore urging Gozitans to show their solidarity and please support sick patients in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta by making a donation on one of the four dates that are shown below in March. </p> <p> Donations can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club: </p> <p> <strong>Sundays - last registration 1:00pm</strong> </p> <p> 12th March from 8:00am-1:00pm </p> <p> 26th March from 8:00am-1:00pm </p> <p> <strong>Tuesdays - last registration 5:00pm</strong> </p> <p> 7th March 1:00pm to 5:00pm </p> <p> 21st of March 1:00pm to 5:00pm. </p> <p> <strong>Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service to avoid wasting time</strong> </p> <p> The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand. </p> <p> As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic. </p> <p> To find out if you are eligible to donate blood <a href= "https://deputyprimeminister.gov.mt/en/nbts/Pages/Become-a-Donor/become-a-donor.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">please see here</a>. </p> <blockquote> <p> File photo </p> </blockquote> The National Blood Transfusion Service said that blood is precious and giving blood is an essential service, “that cannot be neglected.”

The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
