The updated number of Covid-19 cases for the last week have been released on the Public Health Response Team official open source database.

149 new cases have been recorded between the 13th and 19th of March. There were 2 new deaths. The total number from the start of the pandemic is 831.

Active cases in Malta and Gozo now stand at 299. This brings the number of cases in the Maltese Islands since the start to 117,898.

There were 2,095 tests taken over the same period resulting in a positivity rate of 7.11%.

The Health Department said that tests carried out at home are not included in the figures.
