A 25-year old French national has been killed in a jet ski accident, at Hondoq ir-Rummien, Gozo.

Police said that the incident was reported at around 1.30pm on Sunday.

The man was riding the jet ski with a 25-year old woman, also French, when they the both fell off.

They were taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where the man died shortly afterwards, the young woman was uninjured.

Duty Magistrate Bridgette Sultana has appointed an inquiry.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
