Woman grievously injured after two cars collide in Ghasri

A 32-year old woman is in danger of dying following a two-car collision in Ghasri on Sunday afternoon.
Police said that the accident happened at around 2.15pm in Triq l-Gharb.
The woman, who is from Xewkija, was a passenger in a Toyota Yaris, one of the cars involved in the collision.
The accident involved a Toyota Yaris driven by a 36-year old man from Xewkija and a Toyota Corolla driven by a 34-year old man from Fontana.
A 3-year old boy was also a passengers in the Yaris, a 30-year woman from Fontana was a passenger in the Corolla.
A medical team provided assistance at the scene before all five were taken in several ambulances to the Gozo General Hospital.
The 3-year old boy was uninjured, the 32-year old woman sustained grievous injuries and the other 3 people were slightly injured.
Duty Magistrate Simone Grech is leading an inquiry.
Police investigations are ongoing.
