The National Blood Transfusion Service has expressed its thanks to the 12 people who called to donate blood last Tuesday – a slightly lower attendance than usual – at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.
The Service continues to encourage more Gozitans to please come forward to donate blood for the aid and benefit of the many patients who are sick, some critical, and currently in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta.
Blood donations of all types are always needed.
The next session will be on Easter Sunday, the 9th of April, from 8am until 1pm, at the Xewkija Clinic. This will be followed by another on Tuesday, the 18th of April from 1pm until 5pm.
“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service
The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic.
