Next Sunday, the 16th of April, the annual Gozo Lace Day will be taking place at the University of Malta – Gozo Campus, between 9.30am and 1.30pm.
There will be a large variety of activities to interest visitors at this very popular event.
Organised by the Lace Making Programme at the University of Malta, some of the attractions will include exhibitions and demonstrations relating to Maltese lace making.
Local lace makers are invited to sit with their own pillows to join others in lace making, as well as have the opportunity to share their experiences.
There will be a talk by Dr Consiglia Azzopardi; Award of Certificates; Launching of new Lace Day 2023 patterns and hands-on working by visiting lace makers.
Stands there on the day will be by the Lace Guild – OIDFA Malta – Koperattiva Griawdxija tal-Binilla u Artigjanat – and the Centre for Liberal Arts and Sciences students.
The event is open to the general public and entrance is free of charge.
