The Fiera Festa ta’ l-Ghadira, which was due to take place today in Kercem, has now been postponed until next Sunday because of the unfavourable weather conditions.

The, fair which is held in the picturesque area of the ‘Ghadira Ta’ Sarraflu’ – limits of Kercem in Gozo, will now take place on Sunday, the 23rd of April, from midday.

Organised by Kumitat Festa Kercem, this popular event is always held one week after Easter Sunday, and has become an annual appointment with families to enjoy the various attractions on offer in the surrounds of the beautiful Gozitan countryside.

There will be various attractions, including clay shooting competition, and games for all ages with a chance to win prizes. There will also be a large play area for children.

Different stalls offering food and drinks will be available, there will also be a plant sale.

“Parking will not be a problem for those attending since there will be a huge free area available,” the organisers said.

`Ghadira Ta’ Sarraflu’ is also well known for countryside walks with excellent views of the Xlendi and Dwejra areas.

This event is organised with the collaboration of the Kercem Local Council and the Directorate for Cultural Heritage – Ministry for Gozo.

Everybody is invited to attend the fair.
