The National Blood Transfusion Service has expressed its thanks to the 16 people who called to donate blood last Tuesday at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.
Blood donations of all types are always needed, however, the Service said that currently there is a great demand for blood, particularly Type O positive and A Positive.
Therefore the Service continues to encourage more Gozitans to please come forward to donate blood for the aid and benefit of the many patients who are sick, some critical, and currently in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta.
The next session will be on Sunday, the 23rd of April, from 8am until 1pm, at the Xewkija Clinic. This will be followed by another on Tuesday, the 2nd of May from 1pm until 1pm.
“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
