The population in Gozo is 39,287 according to the Population and Housing Census 2021, said Minister for Employment and Finance Clyde Caruana.

The Minister was replying to a Parliamentary Question by Opposition MP Chris Said, who had asked the Minister the population for Gozo and for each locality on the island according to either his Ministry or the National Statistics Office.

Minister Caruana also provided the population for each locality as:

Ghajnsielem and Comino – 3,523

Fontana – 1,042

Munxar – 1,707

Qala – 2,300

Nadur – 4,548

Victoria – 7,242

Xaghra – 5,161

Xewkija – 3,555

Zebbug – 3,303

Gharb – 1,549

Ghasri – 518

San Lawrenz – 772

Kercem – 1,881

Sannat – 2,186.
