Gozo will be joining the rest of the celebrations during EuroPride Valletta 2023 taking place in September, and being held for the first time on the Maltese Islands.

Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri and Parliamentary Secretary Rebecca Buttigieg gave details about Gozo’s involvement in this international event during a press conference in Victoria.

The Pride March will be held in Gozo on the 9th of September, when Maltese and Gozitans, together with a number of foreigners who will be visiting the islands for EuroPride, will make this symbolic walk in favour of diversity and inclusion, with a feast of colours and music.

The Pride March will be followed by a spectacular concert under the artistic direction of Glen Vella, with the participation of more than twenty artists, including the Versatile Band, the Mara group and J Anvil among others.

The Minister for Gozo said that “that Gozo looks forward to this event of love that celebrates equality.”

Parliamentary Secretary for Reforms and Equality Rebecca Buttigieg emphasised the importance of everyone being involved in this celebration that will mark Malta’s history in the field of social rights.
