Gozo Minister attends CPMR Political Bureau meeting in Florence

Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri has been in Florence, Italy attending the CPMR Political Bureau (Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions).
During his intervention the Minister said he praised the efforts being made so that accessibility to the Cohesion Fund is simpler and that the regions on the periphery of the European Union can benefit.
He spoke about the restoration of the Citadel in Gozo which had been possible through these funds, as well as a number of other projects including the restoration of the Xewkija Windmill.
Minister Camilleri pointed out how the Citadel project was also recognised through the prestigious Regiostars award.
“European Funds remain a vital tool for regions and islands like Gozo in order to make the necessary investment and continue to improve the quality of life of the citizen,” the Minister said.
