The National Blood Transfusion Service has once again expressed its thanks to everyone who calls to donate blood at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.
Blood donations of all types are always needed, however, the Service said that there is still a great demand for blood, particularly Type O Positive, which is required urgently as the reserve is low.
Therefore the Service continues to encourage more Gozitans to please come forward to donate blood for the aid and benefit of the many patients who are sick, some critical, and currently in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta.
The next session will be on Tuesday, the 13th of June, from 1pm until 5pm, at the Xewkija Clinic. This will be followed by another session on Sunday, the 18th of June from 8am until 1pm
“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
