The National Blood Transfusion Service said that blood is precious and currently all groups are needed. Giving blood is an essential service, so please help and “be a hero, and help save lives by donating blood.”

The Service is again urging Gozitans to show their solidarity and please support sick patients in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta by making a donation on one of the five dates that are shown below during July.

Donations can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club:

Sundays – last registration 1:00pm

2nd July from 8:00am-1:00pm

16th July from 8:00am-1:00pm

30th July from 8:00am-1:00pm

Tuesdays – last registration 5:00pm

11th July 1:00pm to 5:00pm

25th July 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service to avoid wasting time

The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.

As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic.
