The Gozo Ceramics Festival is back later this month for the 10th edition, and will once again take place in the beautiful setting of Xlendi Bay.
Xlendi has become synonymous with the ceramics festival which is now a highlight of the summer cultural calendar in Gozo.
As always, this year’s event promises visitors a night filled with ceramics, art, music and entertainment.
45 ceramic artists, both local and international, as well as skilled craftsmen, will be demonstrating their talents and skills in public, including sculpting, hand modelling and throwing on the potter’s wheel.
There will also be a free hands-on area for children to get their hands dirty, this is always one of the popular spots for families!
There will be a demonstration of raku firing on ceramic pieces, as well as musical entertainment during the evening, in fact a programme of activities for everyone to enjoy.
The Xlendi Administrative Committee will also be illuminating the area with the magical fjakkolata, when hundreds of candles will be lit around the bay and on private balconies.
Entrance is free and everyone in invited to attend, on Saturday, the 29th of July from 5.30pm until 11pm.
There will be a free park and ride service provided on both sides of Xlendi.
Gozo Ceramics Festival is organised by the Ministry for Gozo, Munxar Local Council and the Cultural Heritage Directorate.
