This year’s tomato season is in full swing at the Magro plant in Xewkija, with tomato processing well underway.

Truckloads of tomatoes are arriving every day at the factory and the company said that over 150 employees are involved in one way or another through the season.

Trucks and tents are set up to welcome and weigh the red fruits, while visits to local farmers ensures that the plants meet the strict quality control adhered to by the company.

Magro Brothers invite the public to join them during this special time. Free factory tours are available, where visitors will have the opportunity to see demonstrations of the entire tomato process – a tour which will be enjoyed by young and old alike. A free token is given to all visitors.
