A 9 year old Spanish girl sustained serious injuries after she fell through a glass door at a property in Xaghra, Gozo.

The police said that the accident happened at around 6.30pm on Tuesday evening in Guzeppi Bajada Street.

The girl was assisted at the scene by a medical team before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital.

Magistrate Brigitte Sultana is leading an inquiry. Police investigations are ongoing.
