Pasta night held to raise funds for Missionary Movement

A Pasta Night was held at St George’s Basilica Centre in aid of Moviment Missionarju Gesu’ fil-Proxxmu – Jesus is thy Neighbour.
The aim of this Pizza Night is to raise money in aid of borehole project offering safe water for drinking.
Currently people in the village need to walk around 25km in order to reach the nearest point to access water, which is not safe for consumption.
The Missionary Movement was founded by the late Mgr George Grima almost 36 years ago. The current director is Fr. Alex Cauchi, the mission’s work is assist those in need in Brazil, Kenya and Ethiopia.
