313,000 inbound tourists visited the Maltese Islands in October

There were an estimated at 313,705 inbound tourists that visited the Maltese Islands during October.
Latest data from the National Statistics Office show that this is an increase of 31.1% when compared to the corresponding month of 2022.
UK, Italian and German residents made up 44.1% of total inbound tourists
Total nights spent amounted to 2,062,214, and total expenditure surpassed €300.8 million, the NSO said.
The largest share of guest nights (85.2%) was once again spent in rented accommodation establishments.
Inbound tourists in the ten months of 2023 amounted to 2,599,155, while total nights spent almost reached 17.8 million nights.
Total tourism expenditure for the period January-October was estimated at €2.4 billion, while expenditure per capita stood at €914, the NSO said.
