Well over 60 people took part in Saturday’s Jump for Life organised by the OASI Foundation at Xlendi Bay, Gozo.

This second edition was aimed at encouraging and supporting those who need to make that important “jump to improve their life by asking for help.”

OASI explained that the idea was put forward by someone who made use of the OASI services to help him get over his addiction problem -and hence the aim.

The event was divided into 3 activities: First a walk from Xlendi Bay to the limits of Sanap Cliffs and back, soon after canoing took place. The climax of the event was braving the jump into the cold sea.

The participants’ immediate comments after the jump was of satisfaction, expressing a feeling of natural high and thrill. “The event was filled with enthusiasm for the good cause,” OASI said.

The participants were served with hot beverages prepared by the Foundation’s volunteers, to warm up after the cold dip.

The OASI Foundation expressed its thanks the Ministry of Gozo for being the main sponsor for this event. “A big thank you also goes to UniQ- Tiles & Ceramic Boutique, Gozo Segway Tours and DQ Contractors Malta.”

The OASI Foundation concluded by thanking everyone that helped especially the volunteers and wished everyone a Happy New Year.
