Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri has visited the work being carried out in Triq it-28 ta April, Qala, a direct route to the beach of Hondoq ir-Rummien.

These included drainage, water and electricity systems, which have been rebuilt and pass directly under road, in particular the electricity that supplies the rest of Gozo.

Apart from this, the storm water culvert network was extended in order to alleviate flooding in Pjazza San Guzepp and the surrounding streets.

Minister Clint Camilleri stated that the type of infrastructure that has been used in this road “takes into account the increasing demand.”

“The work done on this road doesn’t only consist of the asphalt but incorporates sustainable planning in order to continue to improve the quality of life of the residents, this time in Qala,” said Minister Camilleri.

Mayor of Qala Paul Buttigieg thanked the Ministry for the work done to fix this road both for the residents and for everyone who makes use of it.

The Minister concluded by saying that the infrastructural work will continue and intensify around Gozo so that there will be “more safe and high-quality roads that suit the people of Gozo and everyone who visits the island.”
