Two schemes have been launched by the Minister for Gozo and Planning aimed at voluntary and sports organisations in Gozo.

The Gozo NGO Scheme and the Promotion of Sports Initiatives and Facilities Scheme, have a total value of almost €200,000 in order to give financial aid to those organisations that work within Gozo communities.

The Minister explainged that “the Gozo NGO Scheme is for voluntary organisations with initiatives and small projects in the cultural, social and environmental field in Gozo. The Promotion of Sports Initiatives and Facilities Scheme is aimed at voluntary sports associations in Gozo in order to improve sports facilities and to increase participation in physical activity.”

Minister Camilleri said that the Voluntary and Sports Associations that apply and meet the criteria will be given up to a maximum of €5,000 to enable the completion of small projects that the Gozitan community will benefit from, as well as move forward in the their work.
