An expert international jury from the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts, and Tourism –IGCAT were recently welcomed on a visit to the Institute of Tourism Studies Campus in Gozo.
The jury were evaluating the application of the Gozo region for the title European Region of Gastronomy 2024, for which it was recommended and the title will be officially ratified and awarded this June.
The ITS explained that during their visit, lunch was prepared and served by ITS students providing the opportunity for them to showcase their culinary skills and talents.
It said that “both the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts, and Tourism and the jury commended ITS for its unwavering dedication to combat climate change and its steadfast commitment to youth policies in the hospitality sector.”
The ITS Gozo Campus concluded by saying that, “these efforts ensure the retention of talent and the cultivation of skilled professionals, guaranteeing top-notch service for our visitors.”
