Jum il-Fontana was recently celebrated by the Fontana Local Council, marking the 30th anniversary since the Council was founded
Following a thanksgiving Mass, flowers were placed in front of the Fishermen’s Monument as well as at the historical Niche of Our Savior.
A commemorative plaque showing the Mayors who had served the Fontana locality, and the completed community hall project, were both inaugurated by Fontana Mayor Saviour Borg.
The activity then continued in the hall with several musical pieces by Allegro Clefs Band, which concluded with the presentation of the Fontana Tribute to Mr Paul Galea in recognition of his work for the local feast. The programme ended with an annual reception.
